Tuesday-Nov 19th
Poets-please respond:
- Describe the visual imagery of your poem? What will unify the look and mood of your poetic representation?
- What is the most challenging aspect of your production? How will you meet the challenge?
- Have you recorded the narrative of your poem yet in the way you would like it read, for timing and expressive mood? (if not, make this the first thing you do today, even as a scratch audio track using your iphones if necessary-you may do this quietly outside or in the audio room).
- Send a message to the student in the other period telling them your plans for the day, and where to find anything they might need access to.
Icons-please respond:
- What different kind of media are you using?
- How are you maintaining continuity across all icons?
- What are you using to introduce and conclude your media project?
1. We are using an intro that displays all the best scenes from our icons films.
ReplyDelete2. We are covering what they all have in common.
3. We are using a video intro and presentations for the end.
The poem focuses on the calmness and serenity of the woods on a dark and snowy evening. The most challenging portion of the production might be the snow special effects because we are planning on doing it by hand.We will probably recruit more people to assist us with the snow, if that fails we can do it in after effects. We have recorded the poem.
ReplyDeleteWe are using different kinds of medial like video clips and music from youtube. We are balancing out the amount of time each of our icon's movies gets in our mash up video and relate them all to each other. We are using an intro to our project with a mash up of all of our videos.
ReplyDelete1. Visual imageries will vary with the lines. Background music will tie everything together.
ReplyDelete2. The most challenging aspect of our production is communications between each other due to the fact one person is in the other period and time management.
3. We already made one.
4. Ok w e make comments on google docs to keep in touch
The visual imagery of our poem will be shown through some sort of stop motion, most likely with paper. Our audio track will help to unify the images together. The most challenging aspect will definitely be capturing the stop motion pictures in the way that we want. If we preplan it should lessen the load. We will record the audio soon, right after we know what our storyboard looks like. Overall, we just need to get back on track and then it should be good.
ReplyDelete1. The visual imagery will vary, using literal meanings of the poems, and the metaphorical meanings as well.
ReplyDelete2. The different visuals are hard to produce, as well as portraying the message of the poem through visuals.
3. Yes
4. Ok
The mood of our poem is dark vs. light, trapped vs. free. The most challenging aspect will be clearly showing symbolism that relates. We're currently working on matching times with voice.
ReplyDelete1) We will be using stop motion, so a lot of color and motion to unify our image. We will not be using vibrant and exciting color, but rather mellow and meek colors to emphasize the slow and lugubrious flow of the poem.
ReplyDelete2) Our most challenging aspect will probably be the animation as a whole. It will take a lot of time and effort to make each scene and fuse them together.
3) Not yet. Blake will be recording it today.
1.) For my group we will be taking the most memorable scenes from our icons most notorious films.
ReplyDelete2.) Our group will then cover what each scene clip has in common.
3.) We will start off using a video intro then work our way into presentations.
1. visual imagery represented in stop motion. The poem is meant to be enlightening and tranquil.
ReplyDelete2. the most challenging aspect is to meet the deadline
3. we will probably record the reading today
were going to use after effects and little snippets of visual representation of what's happening in the poem. The most challenging part would be trying to make a shot for every line in the poem to make sure it doesn't get boring. We're going to use sarah kays book of "B" b/c it has visual ideas as well. No we haven't recorded it but we know the way we want it recorded.
ReplyDeleteMy poem is filled with a lot of a soft tone. Everything should flow with the picture of white birds being freedom and some kind of feeling of liberty. I think the most challenging aspect of the production would be how to depict each line and how we could be the medium of it. We've recorded the poem already and it comes to be about 1 min and 30 sec.
ReplyDelete1. The visual imagery of my poem will represent the various metaphors that are presented throughout the poem. The music, lighting and acting will unify the look/mood of the film.
ReplyDelete2. The most challenging aspect of our film is the overall planning of how we want the film to look and feel. We want to do the poem justice with our visuals. We will meet this challenge my thinking together creatively and creating a quality storyboard.
3. We will record the pacing/narrative of our poem today and plan out the way Alana will read the poem.
The visual imagery of our poem is dark vs. light; trapped vs. free. We will make the audience feel mixed emotions of sad and happy. I think the most challenging will be to get the right lighting to fulfill the mood. Yes, we have recorded our narration and have seen how long it will be. I'm in first period today! :)
ReplyDeleteOur poem portrays a difficult choice. I think the biggest challenge for our group will be portraying emotions well enough that it is obvious there is an internal struggle. We should record either today or tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI am using a variety of media which include videos, photos, articles, sound effects, etc. We are going to maintain continuity by using similar types of media in similar types of formatting. We are going to introduce all the icons by doing a quick overview of all our icons and our conclusion will have a list of significant achievements of the icons.
ReplyDeleteI am using YouTube Clips. I am also using different audio clips from Apple Special Events that feature Steve Jobs where Steve introduces different Apple products. I think that our group will meet during tutorials where we can discuss our project, to maintain continuity. I will be using fade to blacks, despite maintaining the same audio clips throughout.
ReplyDeleteAs an intro we will have a video compilation of scenes from our icons best films that pair together to have comedic dialogue
ReplyDeleteto maintain continuity across our icons we will be discussing what makes all of their movies good and unique
our media project will be introduced by a video and will be concluded with our presentations
1. For visual imagery, we use many of the different metaphors she seems to be overflowing with and recreate those scenes or show those different objects in order to give the audience a more tangible feeling to the emotions Sarah Kaye is trying to evoke.
ReplyDelete2. Our most challenging part of production will most definitely be being able to get this huge number of short clips with the right backgrounds and what not all concisely in a three minute video. Just the sheer number of different clips which have to be perfect.
3. Not yet, we are going to hop on that today!
4. We plan on finishing the story board and atleast having the song done on an Iphone. Iphones are in your pocket, the Storyboard templates are on the blogspot, and most other directions are on the blogspot as well.
We are using a mixture of youtube clips, photos, articles, etc. We are going to maintain continuity by using similar types of media in similar formatting. We are going to introduce our icons using a claymation sequence.
ReplyDeleteAs an intro we will have a video compilation of scenes from our icons best films that pair together to have comedic dialogue
ReplyDeleteto maintain continuity across our icons we will be discussing what makes all of their movies good and unique
our media project will be introduced by a video and will be concluded with our presentations. this is a perfect idea from gonzalo. this is what we agreed on in english yesterday.
i am samir ingle
ReplyDeletei am sam j
Deletecool.
DeleteThats nice buddy
DeleteI am komdean masoumi
Deletewe are using text based info with backgrounds of pictures, videos, and a voiceover under each icon. we will use text to introduce and conclude our videos, along with pictures
ReplyDelete1. our media is: youtube videos, quotes, videos, music, and pictures
ReplyDelete2. All the icons will have the same time length and we are thinking of maybe having the same narrator
3. We are using videos of our people preforming
For the visual imagery, we are using a metaphor of coca cola and pepsi to show the difficult choice that the narrator has. The sound and audio will unify the mood of the internal struggle inside the narrator. The most challenging part of this is showing the emotions through the sound and the narrator's expressions. We are going to start to record the audio today.
ReplyDeleteSo far i have some pictures, but i would also like some clips of interviews or speeches and maybe also some info graphics. We are maintaining continuity by making sure we work together all on one storyboard. We will introduce and conclude our project with fades and on screen text with narration.
ReplyDeleteOur poem will need good acting to convey the uneasiness of the person. We should probably meet up this weekend to work on the project and shoot the video footage so we have time to do after effects and edit. We will make use of many photos and video footage to help out so it lightens the load on our own footage.
ReplyDelete1. Our poem describes the calmness of the woods as a man and his horse walk through it at night.
ReplyDelete2. I think the hardest thing to incorporate into our project would be the snow, whether or not we film with fake snow, or apply it with After Effects.
3. We have already recorded our poem.
4. Today we plan to finish up shots/storyboard.
For the intro, we'll have best film scene for the icon.
ReplyDeleteTo maintaining continuity across all icons, we put together what our icons related.
We are using video clip and presentation to introduce our icons.
We are using youtube videos as well as photos. To maintain continuity across all icons we must relate each icons to each other explaining why they are unique. To introduce the project we are going go compile photos of each of the icons. To conclude we will use picture and text and then are live presentations.
ReplyDelete1. we are using media and text based backgrounds and pictures.
ReplyDelete2. we are trying to base our project around one big achievement that all our icons achieved
3. we are using videos that summarize our icons
1) We are thinking of doing a stop motion video for illustration of our icons and their achievments
ReplyDelete2) We will be using similar assets and techniques for all of the icons for maintaining continuity
3) We are thinking of introducing the icons with a famous quote from them and we have not decided on a conclusion.
Our project is going to consist of a bunch of different media aspects with video clips, audio clips, or even stop motion. We will try to address each icon equally and make sure they are all being included. We will introduce our icons using either stop motion or with the idea of having different quotes from each icon, and we are not sure about the conclusion yet.
ReplyDelete1. The empty foreboding forest, is scary but also somewhat serene. By having a lone actor as the sole focus established the power of nature.
ReplyDelete2. I think having a natural backdrop is going to be the most difficult thing about it.
3. We recorded several readings of the poem, varying in timing.
4. Hey Jacob, I think we should use a green screen!
I will primary be using you tube clips and clips directly from the movies that Clint Eastwood is in. As of now continuity is going to be based off of common aspect of all of our icons, the fact that they were born into a poorer middle class family and they worked their way up from there.
ReplyDeleteTo introduce my Icon, i will probably use the "are you feeling lucky punk" clip from the movie "Dirty Harry"
1.) There will be literal shots that lead onto metaphorical shots, connected with a fade.
ReplyDelete2.) Our poem is very hard to portray, so it will be tough to make a representation of the poem while making it make sense.
3.) No, we will do that today.
For our icons, we will have a grand introduction to each of them and elaborate on how they have each impacted society in their own special way. We will conclude the project with clips of each of our icons displaying their best work.
ReplyDeleteWe are using pictures, clips from performances, interviews, and music. We are maintaining continuity across all icons by going over similarities between the icons so that they can all connect with one another. For the project, we are going to go over factors that each icon has in common. Then sum it all up by putting all of the icons on the same slide and conclude that they are all 3 significant American Icons.
ReplyDeleteWe are using youtube videos as well as photos. In achieving continuity across all icons we must relate each icons to each other explaining why they are unique. As we introduce our icons we will have a collague of photos of our icons. To conclude we will use picture and text and then are live presentations.
ReplyDeleteI am using pictures and youtube clips of mark taking and then chaining them together to make sentences to explain what he did.
ReplyDeleteTo maintain continuity we will have the same format and outlines and also take the different icons and make a big picture
were going to start with a voiceover explaining the icons and end with a voiceover explaining why they are related and why they are icons
The plan is to use a forest like the one in the poem as a symbol of the choice the character has to make, and we will be switching back and forth between the two stories. Since the forest will be created in after effects, the most challenging part will be filming the story that it symbolizes and having it flow with the other half.
ReplyDelete1. The imagery will focus primarily contrast fields of poverty to lands of riches. A road through which a person is to make a leap of faith is to divide the two lands.
ReplyDelete2. Conveying the landscape of a hill of riches and making the contrast between the riches and poverty on either side of the road. It will require a lot of after effects editing.
3. Kevin has a recorded version, and I have recorded it too.
4. Read response two to see if my idea of what we are doing is correct as far as the editing goes.
I will be using different clips from youtube of Elvis performing and significant events that effected his impact on society. Also some audio clips perhaps from news about him or his songs. The continuity is that our icons were all influential musicians who changed or combined genres into a new phenomenon and contributed to breaking the racial/color barrier in some way.
ReplyDeleteI am using pictures and videos from youtube to elaborate on my icons achievements and works. To maintain continuity we will combine icons and explain their unique qualities and characteristics. To introduce the project we will have a bio of the icon and conclude with the most significant impacts on American Culture.
ReplyDeleteWe will find clips of interviews with our authors, as well as clips from any of their books that have been made into movies, we will plan our shots and make our storyboards
ReplyDeletewe will be using stop motion to make our mashup more interesting.
ReplyDeletewe will be using the same techniques and shot type to keep the project looking smooth.
our introduction will be our icons inventions in clay along with a famous quote about there innovation. Our conclusion has not yet been decided but, I was thinking about making a scene that would show how our world has been shaped by these products.
