Documentary Project

Assignment: Working in groups you will create an 8-10 min documentary around the topic of "Poverty in America". Please see the project guide below for detail, including a guide to documentary production, rubric and significant milestones.

Click Here for Documentary Group Folders-this is where you will put the files for your documentary planning. Please make a folder for your group. Inside this folder you will have your:

  1. Project Plan 
  2. Project spreadsheet-includes all b-roll footage, photos, audio, etc, with MLA citing
  3. Interview Question set 
  4. Preliminary Script and Final Script (can be one doc, final script is created when interviews are completed and group determines which parts of interview will be included in documentary)
  5. Final Movie-will be uploaded to Youtube, backed up on video server. PLEASE--upload your movie to youtube but export first using QuickTime Conversion/h.264. (ask me if you do not know how).


Grading/Assessment:
Final Documentary (see rubric on project guide) 100 pts.
Planning worksheet (20pts)
Interview Questions (20 pts)
Prelim/Final Script (schedule appt with Mrs. Ritchie for review) (40pt)
Collaborative Qualities (20 pts-individually, group will rank as well as teacher observation)
